Developing bonds through action and trust.

Play therapy is a form of therapy that is used on both children and adults. This form of therapy is done within a safe and comfortable playroom where patients have very limited limitations. Here, they are free to express themselves through play and interaction. Play therapy is often used to help children and youth. Active imagination, dreams, art, journaling are explored. Through play, I, the therapist, can observe the child regarding his or her play style, decision-making skills, and more. The main goal of play therapy is to promote psychological growth and support children’s therapeutic journey.

I use play therapy for my patients who have undergone trauma, severe abuse, serious illness or hospitalization, domestic violence, a family crisis, or an upsetting change in their home or environment. This type of therapy can also help with academic and social problems, learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, and anger.

With play therapy, I deliver two forms of play therapy: Nondirective and Directive approach.
